Lead-based Paint - Renovation

Alabama Renovators must register with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) through the Alabama Lead Based Paint Activities Accreditation Program. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE
 
If your last training was before today's date in 2016 you should not take a 4-hour refresher course, you will need to take the 8-Hour initial training course for renewal of Lead Renovator Card.

STATE REGISTRATION IS A 3 STEP PROCESS

1.      Successfully completing training from an Alabama  Approved Renovator Training Provider - Initial

                                                                            or  Approved Renovator Training Provider - Refresher

2.      Register as an INDIVIDUAL using the Lead Renovator Application:

Updated individual applications should be provided by the training providers during your training class. You may also request a copy of the application form from Rhonda Hester (rhester@ccs.ua.edu)

3.      Get your FIRM Registered with the Alabama Department of Public Health

TRAINING PROVIDER

Training course accreditation is also required for training programs in these disciplines. Training providers seeking to offer courses for approval in Alabama should contact Ashley Chambers (achambers@ccs.ua.edu) for instructions on the application process and approval schedule.
